You’re not the only one, I liked that Aoi got an emblem!  And Oga seems to be believe in her when her self-esteem is so low.  I think its great, and definitely koma wasn’t going to give her the power boost that she needed.

But I’m kind of going to miss Ringo and her cronies, because its pretty obvious there is going to be a royal smack down next week.

I really didn’t love the new chapter. Kunieda, who was always so independent and strong shouldn’t be giving up so easily, really shouldn’t cry about it, and ESPECIALLY shouldn’t have oga saving her. But I gotta say, it broke my heart to see nene and paako all beat up like that. I’m kind of reluctant to have kunieda get the kings crest, but since koma is being a little asswipe she better go apeshit on ringo.

I agree that Nene losing was an utter disappointment. We could have had a nice power up for Aoi without the Red Tails being used like that. And yeah, Oga speechifying, as someone else said, was a bit OOC.

But I disagree that Aoi needing saving was a bad thing. Oga is the hero— he is going to save people regardless. He saved Hilda three times throughout the manga. He’s also saved Furuichi and Kanzaki at least twice. Actually, its because Oga saved Kanzaki that he became a subcontractor.

But the way its been done leaves an awkward aftertaste, right? I hope next chapter is better.
